Rinsing rice or washing produce can be messy when water drains slowly or tiny grains slip through the holes of an ordinary colander. The Vomau Plastic Rice Sieve Colander drains water quickly while keeping rice, quinoa, and small foods safely inside. Pick up two to rinse grains in one and wash vegetables in the other at the same time.
The fine strainer design features small perforations that let water pass through while holding rice grains and small foods in place. It is made from sturdy, lightweight plastic with integrated side handles for comfortable lifting and controlled draining. Each basket measures 8×6 inches (21×16 cm), a handy size for everyday kitchen tasks. Lightweight and easy to handle, it stores neatly in a cupboard. Choose pink, white, or blue to brighten your kitchen.
Use it for washing rice, rinsing beans and lentils, draining vegetables, washing berries and fruit, and as a sink drain basket for scraps. It is handy for washing salad greens before meals. Place the basket over a bowl or in the sink, add food, and rinse under cool running water. Avoid pouring boiling water through the plastic and keep it away from hot burners. Wash the basket in warm, soapy water after each use and air dry.
